I suffer long, and have patience with imperfect people. I am kind and active in doing good. I do not envy, since I am not possessive and not competitive. I want others to get ahead, therefore I do not parade myself. I am not puffed up neither do I not look down on others. I do not deal with them arrogantly. I do not behave rudely, but I display good manners and courtesy.

I do not seek my own, nor insist on my own rights. I am not selfish. I am not provoked; neither am I irritable or touchy, rough or hostile, but I am graceful under pressure. I think no evil, I do not keep an account of wrongs done to me. I am quick to forgive and forget.

I do not rejoice in iniquity. I do not find satisfaction in the shortcomings of others, neither do I spread evil reports about them. Rather, I rejoice in the truth, I aggressively speak of good. I bear all things, defend and hold people up. I believe the best about others, I credit them with good intentions, and I am not suspicious. I hope all things, and never give up on people, I affirm their future. I endure all things, I persevere and remain loyal to the end.
